Charlotte The Encourager

Charlotte The Encourager

My lovely friend Charlene is an encourager. She is a seeker of God’s heart and humbly listens to the Holy Spirit working in her life and in others. We’ve had great conversations and there is an openness and freedom being sisters in Christ together.

We were recently at her youngest daughter’s birthday party (before lockdown!) and to my surprise, Charlene’s eldest, Charlotte had made me a card! Besides a lovely drawing on the front and inside, the message said I was a graceful and calm person. How sweet and precious to have received such a compliment and encouragement from my friend’s daughter.

Just like her sweet mama, Charlotte is learning already to exercise her spiritual gifts. She has learned to be an encourager from Charlene and it is so wonderful to see God’s kindness and faithfulness from generation to generation.

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Deuteronomy 7:9

Who can you encourage today? A text message, FaceTime chat, a rainbow picture, or a handwritten note? Surprise someone!

It’s a wonderful way to spread God’s love.

How precious is that card and compliment from that little girl. I think everyone needs encouragement. One of my friends is an encourager- she always takes time to acknowledge someone efforts.
